Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can I take?

Per United States Coast Guard regulation, a maximum of 6 passengers is allowed to sail aboard the vessel. This includes children

Can I bring food and alcohol?

Yes, you are welcome to bring any food and drinks you like. Drugs however, of any type are strictly prohibited.

What if the weather is bad?

In the event of bad weather, it is the captain's decision to sail or not. We want you to have a good time. If it looks like it will be miserable out there we will cancel. If it looks like just a quick shower may come through we will likely still sail. However, safety is always top priority.
In the event of a weather cancel we will try to reschedule. If you are unable to reschedule then you will be reimburse the full amount paid.
*The same would apply in the unlikely event of a maintenance cancel.

What is the booking/cancellation policy?

Any cancellations must be done prior to 90 days before your charter to receive full reimbursement. Should you choose to cancel your charter after that, you are refunded 50%. Please keep in mind that even with retaining 50%, LESC is loosing out on what should have been a full paying charter by reserving it for you. The goal is to split the loss 50/50. However, we will do our very best to reschedule your charter should an emergency arise. (This doesn't apply to any cancellations caused by weather or anything on our side. Should that happen you are reimbursed in full.
*Charters booked using an LESC gift certificate can be rescheduled in the event of a forced cancellation.

Should I tip the captain?

It is customary but not required to tip the captain/crew.

Do you offer "bareboat" rental (no captain) and overnight charters?

At this time we only offer captained day sails. Captained overnights may be coming in the future though.

Are pets allowed?

Sorry, no pets of any type are allowed on the vessel.
