Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can I take?

Per United States Coast Guard regulation, a maximum of 6 passengers is allowed to sail aboard the vessel. This includes children

Can I bring food and alcohol?

Yes, you are welcome to bring any food and drinks you like. (Red wine strongly discouraged)

What if the weather is bad?

In the event of bad weather, it is the captain's decision to sail or not. We want you to have a good time. If it looks like it will be miserable out there we will cancel. If it looks like just a quick shower may come through we will likely still sail. However, safety is always top priority.
In the event of a weather cancel we will try to reschedule. If you are unable to reschedule then you will be reimburse the full amount paid.
*The same would apply in the unlikely event of a maintenance cancel.

What is the booking/cancellation policy?

Any cancellations must be done prior to 90 days before your charter to receive full reimbursement. Should you choose to cancel your charter after that, you are refunded 50%. Please keep in mind that even with retaining 50%, LESC is losing out on revenue from a charter by reserving the time for you. This policy does not apply to any cancellations caused by weather or by LESC; should this occur, you are reimbursed in full.

Charters booked using an LESC gift certificate shall be rescheduled to a future mutually agreeable date in the event of a cancellation by LESC (e.g. for weather).

A charter may be rescheduled by a guest due to extenuating circumstances.  A charter rescheduled within 30 days of the charter will incur a $250 reschedule fee.  Any charter rescheduled by a guest is not eligible for a refund if later cancelled by guest.  Further, if a rescheduled charter is unable to do the charter due to weather, then the charter shall be rescheduled to another mutually agreeable date or a gift certificate may be issued.

Cleaning & Head (toilet) Policy

If during your charter, food and/or drinks are excessively spilled, LESC may impose an additional fee for cleaning up to $150.  Also, as will be explained by the Captain at the beginning of the charter, only toilet paper may be flushed in the head (toilet) – no wipes, no feminine products, no paper towels.  If during the charter items other than toilet paper are flushed down the head (toilet), then LESC may impose a fee up to $250 to remove the objects flushed and fix the head (toilet).
